Before joining Tribal Jewels in 2007, she first commenced Tribal Style (ATS) bellydance in 2004 after seeing Ghawazi Caravan perform in the Blue Mountains region & was immediately drawn to this feminine dance form that held audiences mystified and captivated. Soon after she joined a Sydney troupe that same year & was a member of a Sydney troupe, Urban Turban for 2 years.
Chandra & her husband Paulo are proud parents of 2 children. Her family now lives in the Northern Beaches of the Illawarra. As a full time mother she loves the richness and colour that dance brings to her life. Enjoys performing and its challenges and the new possibilities this form of belly dancing creates.
Chandras specialty is fire props: assorted - palm lotus, fingers (pictured) & fans. Other dance props: Silk fan veil, skirt dance, tambourine, silk veil, piano shawl & finger cymbals (zills),
