We’ll be offering the following workshops as created by International renowned Paulette Rees-Denis of the famous & fabulous troupe from the USA, Gypsy Caravan Dance Company. Come together & extend your Tribal Bellydance knowledge, dance & re-connect for the new year. Define your hips with variations on the shimmy, and include other hip movements combined with drilling. Fun and invigorating. Level: Intermediate Sat 3:30-5:30 *Mesmerizing Slow moves Slow it down, listen to your body and feeling the music, counting, incorporating levels and some floor work (bring kneepads). All Levels Sun 10:30-12:30 *Tribal Props-Simplicity and Power! Dancing with a prop, solo and as a group. How to improvise and adapt your dance moves to your prop and how to add your prop to the dance steps you know. We will use Spanish style shoulder/hip shawls & baskets! Level: All Levels Sun 3:30-5:00 pm (1.5hrs) *Tribal Trance Different ways and methods of using dance, with the tribal bellydance background, for trance and healing. This is your time to explore your dance, free your dance, dance with the elements, dance with your sisters, shake your booty, chant and meditate, a bit of ritual and prayer in the tribal Bellydance way! What to bring to the workshops? Notebook & Pen, Water bottle, Zills & Knee pads (optional for the Sat) Props for the Sunday.
